If you are tired of those old remedies for psoriasis that have not given you any relief, then it will be the
best time to search for new psoriasis treatments. And
guess what, you are on the right page! Why don’t you buckle up your seat, and feel comfortable because as you read
and finish this article, you might want to get started.
Distinction of New Psoriasis Treatments
New psoriasis treatments have been aiming to interrupt the cycle
so that the increase production of abnormal skin cells will be lowered and thus lessening the inflammation and
scaly formation of the skin. The topical agents that have been out in the market are particularly for the removal
of those scaly areas and smoothens the skin.

During our college reunion, I have seen few friends that have been really close to me back then. There was Sean
Casey who hit me with a warm hello and mentioned about the new treatments for psoriasis. As we were talking
about it, he pointed out the three main types of psoriasis treatment – topical treatments, light therapy and oral
medications.
Topical treatments effectively treat the conditions that are mild to moderate because when the condition is more
severe, creams have to be combined with other oral medications or light therapy.
Topical agent includes anti-inflammatory drugs that are prescribed to slower down the turnover of the cell by
suppressing the immune system and thus lessening the itching and inflammation. Some of the topical agents help in
slowing down the growth of the abnormal skin cells and to normalize the DNA activity of the cells.
With light therapy, it provides a natural or may be artificial ultraviolet light that involves exposing the skin
to some controlled amounts of light to reduces scaling and inflammation but be sure to watch out for excessive heat
because this may cause the worsening of the symptom and can lead to skin damage.
For severe conditions, your doctor may prescribe some oral or even injected drugs but because of the severe side
effects, the medications are used for just limited period of time and have to be used alternately with other
treatments. With that said, new psoriasis treatments are really way
ahead of the competition.
Sean have always been pointing out that even though how severe your condition is, you will always start with the
mildest form of treatment and then progress to stronger ones if it is necessary to achieve the goal that is to slow
down the cell turnover and to provide the fewest side effect possible.
Doctors have also been suggesting the use of Dermasis to their patients, and I highly suggest you give it a try
yourself.
